“Our inspiration comes from our love for nature/our concern for life/our reflection on the city/rather than limiting our vision to the building itself”
The existential architecture provides an alternative interpretation of the Tongting place.
「Introduction」 April 6-June 14, 2021, A8 is under design
Heart in Luxelakes presents "2 km of Lake Shore: 2021 Luxelakes Cross-border Joint Exhibition of Independent Architects in Southwest China". 31 independent architects set up experimental check-in points along the lakeshore, using multi-angle thinking and cross-border public art to explore ways for architects to express themselves. At the same time, starting with creative, open and immersive exhibitions, we explore the publicity of design. We once again break away from the conventional shooting mode. All photos are taken directly from Fuji medium format cameras GFX100S / GFX100, and none of them are retouched.
We connected 31 points with a fictional character. The inspiration for the trash can came from point 9: our own installation work, "The Wave" made of 350 IKEA trash cans. For more interpretation of our design work this time, please follow our next tweet.
The significance of a place lies in the interaction between space and human behavior. The elegance of the place leaves us too much room for imagination. We always try to solve all problems in a simple way in design. Whether it is the shape of the word "tong", the material construction or the resonance between the shape and use, it is ultimately reflected in the simple form of the most primitive spatial form of the building, the Primitive hut. The red-headed people sit or stand in it, forming a loose and casual state of use, which makes us unnaturally begin to appreciate the comfort of the outdoor space of the place. Very good.
