Over the past 45 years the BLÜCHER name has grown to be synonymous with the production and delivery of quality stainless steel drainage products and systems. Customers all over the world appreciate our know-how, our dedicated service and our unique brand of common sense.

From its beginnings in 1965, the company quickly developed into Europe’s leading drainage system specialist. Founder Johannes BLÜCHER Skibild, himself a working plumber, saw the need for an exclusive line of floor drain gratings. He and his wife began producing gratings out of their barn. They soon added floor drains and the BLÜCHER product line was launched.

Today, BLÜCHER is headquartered in Denmark. Our first subsidiary was established in England in 1978, with subsequent subsidiaries in Germany, France, Norway and Sweden. More recently, BLÜCHER expanded into North America opening offices in Spindale, North Carolina and Burlington, Ontario. Our North American operations continue the tradition of craftsmanship, superior quality and ease of doing business the BLÜCHER name is known for.

At BLÜCHER know-how has a special meaning. It means putting our long experience working with stainless steel to practical use in sustainable solutions. Paying close attention to our markets and our customers, we’ve adapted our products and solutions to local building requirements. Our product development department has its own testing facilities and works actively with internationally recognized independent institutes. We play an active part in setting international standards.
