This luxury kitchen and bath were a part of a larger renovation project with a builder we always enjoy working with. The home of the young couple is located in LA’s Silver Lake community.
The area is a very popular neighborhood in LA that over the past couple of decades has transformed into a vibrant community home to celebrities, artists of all genres, professionals, and families. There are many reasons why it is so popular: proximity to Hollywood and downtown, breathtaking hilltop views, trendy boutique shopping, diverse dining, bar, and coffee shop choices, and the enormous Silver Lake Reservoir which offers a 2.25-mile running and walking loop. In addition to the loop, you can explore Silver Lake’s famous and historic not-so-secret “secret stairs”.
The builder’s renovation of this home in a quiet neighborhood had the goal to update the 1970s decor and architecture to a modern, minimal aesthetic. The homeowners were so open to ideas we suggested from their early input. They offered a picture of a kitchen as their inspiration. It featured:
-Clean lines with an airy feel
-White kitchen with a darker painted wall
-No overhead cabinets
-Refrigerator nested next to the counter space
-A striking, but minimal design range hood
-A full wall of cabinets
