In 1978, Jeff Krukowski founded Krukowski Stone Company in north-central Wisconsin near Mosinee. What began as a one-person operation has grown today into a multi-faceted business satisfying the natural stone needs of architects, contractors, masons, landscapers, and individual consumers throughout the United States, Canada, and beyond.
Krukowski Stone Company began with Jeff and a single truck; he hand-picked Chestnut boulders and granite cobbles from local pits and delivered them to masons and landscapers in the local area. Shortly thereafter, Jeff purchased the property where the quartzite sandstone existed and began to quarry and manufacture Sandy Creek, Highland Brown, and Chestnut. In the early eighties, Jeff bought stone-splitting equipment, built a 600 square foot building, and split the dense quartzite sandstone. Later, in May of 1984, Krukowski Stone Company was incorporated. In 1991 Jeff purchased another 120-acre parcel containing the Aqua Blue boulders. Since then, the Aqua Blue boulders have been used in many water features, Asian-themed gardens, and unique architectural stone products. The most recent expansion, the Aqua quarry, has been developed into a block extraction quarry for further manufacturing into countertop slabs. The quartzite sandstone and hornblende gneiss quarries are located within one mile of each other. A unique feature is that Krukowski Stone Company is one of only about a dozen producers of “Made in the USA” natural stone countertop slabs. The Aqua Grantique and Cambrian Cream materials are available in 3 cm polished, brushed, or honed slabs.
Over the years, new product lines and fabrication techniques have developed. Years of hard work, expansions of facilities, quarries, equipment, and employees have resulted in Krukowski Stone Company’s continued success and growth. Jeff Krukowski operates the company. Currently, the operations center is nearly 1,000 acres of quarryable land, a 37,000 square foot state-of-the-art sawing facility, which houses the latest in European stone cutting technology, and a 15,000 square foot splitting facility.
The corporate office, beautiful showroom, and manufacturing facilities are located at 162445 County Road C, Mosinee, WI. The office and showrooms feature a full array of natural architectural and landscaping stones and is filled with many inspiring ideas.
The entire staff at Krukowski Stone Company Inc. would like to thank you for your interest in our natural stone products and will assist you in whatever your needs are.
