Midwest Tile, Marble & Granite is a family-owned business that was started in 1957 by Bob McCabe. Today, his sons Joe and Paul oversee a company that has grown exponentially but still strive to maintain the personal and prudent business style of their father. Customer relationships and customer satisfaction are important to us. That is why we purchase the finest quality of products from around the world and go to great lengths to offer them to our customers at the best price.

Our History

Working for his father at the time, Bob McCabe made the decision to begin wholesaling ceramic tile. He began in the Lincoln, Nebraska market under the name of Midwest Tile Supply. By 1972 Bob doubled the company’s size by opening a wholesale warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska and in 1982 he expanded even further, opening a third warehouse in Des Moines, IA.

In the early 1990’s Midwest Tile Supply expanded its product line to include natural stone tile and slabs including marble and granite. The company, now known as Midwest Tile, Marble & Granite, Inc. had added several new locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Texas. Bob had also brought his sons on board to help him manage the growing company. From its inception Midwest Tile had been a family-owned business and Bob wanted to keep it that way. Despite its growing size it was important to Bob that the company stayed true to the principles upon which it was founded. So as the company established more warehouses and more locations, Bob and his sons went to great lengths to maintain the faith, family, and hard work they had always relied on.

Today the company has 10 warehouse locations reaching as far north as Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN and as far south as Houston, TX. The corporate offices are located in Lincoln, NE where it all started. Bob McCabe passed away in 2012 but the company is still owned by his sons Joe and Paul McCabe.

Midwest Tile, Marble & Granite boasts an expanding customer base with clients in over 28 states, a fully diversified inventory, vertically integrated supply and transportation chain, and good vendor relations around the world. The company is constantly expanding its inventory to meet the demands of an ever-changing marketplace. In recent years the inventory has been expanded to include new tile colors and designs, porcelain slabs, installation tools, and premium sinks.

This is known as the golden rule of business but the faith and hard work of the McCabe family takes it one step further with the true golden rule of treating others how you would want to be treated. We strive to do this not just with our customers but also our amazing team of employees company-wide. We are proud that these individuals reflect these same values in the work they do every day.
