Founders & Early Years

Founded in 1967 in NYC by Mel Wolf, Bernie Gordon, Tony Prota and Frank Carr, Wolf-Gordon initially distributed vibrantly colored and textured, vinyl wallcovering. The company soon diversified with textile, paper and cork wallcovering, and grew in major East and West Coast markets.

In 1994, two of the founders' sons - Rick Wolf and David Gordon - became President/CEO and Executive Vice President, respectively, and catalyzed a period of national growth by way of product and brand design.

Today, Wolf-Gordon has sales representatives in all major U.S. markets and collaborates with licensed designers from around the world to bring fresh voices and perspectives to our products.
