Learning Outcomes:
1. Explain how noise levels in the interior affect the health, well-being, and productivity of the people working, learning and living there.
2. Summarize three common acoustics issues that occur because of the uncontrolled, haphazard movement of sound through a space.
3. Identify the limitations of the traditional single-surface approach to acoustic design and the benefits of using the modern holistic approach to manage sound using multiple surfaces.
4. Describe the common acoustical challenges faced in commercial, education and hospitality environments and the solutions to decrease background noise levels, decrease reverberation times, and increase speech intelligibility.
