Since its incorporation in 1992, Krislite has transformed itself from a local distributor of lighting products to become an industrial specialist in LED and sustainable lighting solutions in Asia Pacific.
With the corporate headquarter strategically rooted in Singapore to focus on governmental, residential and commercial projects, Krislite was able to expand overseas as early as 1994 to Myanmar with support from various SME schemes. In 2002, Krislite successfully entered the China market with establishment of a subsidiary office in Shanghai and expanded the business of fibre optic lighting and LED products in Asia Pacific.
Over the years, Krislite has also collaborated with international lighting brands and OEM manufacturers to establish extensive and fruitful relationships and exchange valuable experiences.
Back home, Krislite is proud to have participated in several landmark projects such as ION Orchard, Reflections Condominium, Punggol Waterfront and Gardens by The Bay, that have helped to sculpt the new skyline of Singapore.
Founder Mr Jimmy Teo was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year 2008; while Krislite was awarded Singapore Prestige Brand Award 2008 and listed Enterprise 50 in 2012.
As a SME, Krislite has successfully leveraged on various SPRING and IE Singapore programmes and initiatives to accelerate its growth and expansion. For local operations, Krislite has benefitted from the Economic Value Added (EVA) scheme to set up effective financial and operating drive processes, Innovative Development Grant (IDS) in 2005, bizSafe to build up safety capabilities and safety culture within the organisation, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme in 2012 that helped to assess, plan and strengthen the resilience of the company’s value chain.
For overseas expansions, Krislite has received valuable support from various IE Singapore initiatives such as Overseas Manpower Programs (OMP) and Business Support Office (BSO) to help in setting up the overseas representative office in Shanghai, Global Partners Programme (GPP) that facilitated training of Singapore staff in China, and iPartners Programme which provided Krislite with the opportunity to participate in a consortium of specialist contractors to penetrate the Middle East market. All these programmes and grants have played a significant role in Krislite’s success today.
